RONALD ALFRED FITZ-WILLIAM

Ron gained a two year bursary to attend Elam School of Art in 1936. He trained as an architectural draughtsman until World War II. He served with the third NZ Division in the Pacific. Ron joined the North Shore Photographic Society in 1957 and the P.S.N.Z soon after. He received an associateship in Natural History Slides A.P.S.NZ in 1988 and a Fellowship F.P.S.NZ in open black and white prints in 1994 and won a number of photographic awards. He is also an accomplished sculptor.
